Buy or sell shares

  3. Check price, estimated total and available cash or holdings.
  4. Confirm the order.
  5. Verify portfolio and history.

Dividend and portfolio value

A dividend is a system-defined distribution and differs from a capital gain. Portfolio value is quantity multiplied by current price; proceeds are realised only by an executed sale.
