Expedition Bridge and Control Logic
The expedition bridge is a dedicated control area outside the world map. Its instruments control only the assigned expedition vessel and follow the stored travel or search state.
At a Glance
- The bridge is not a decorative image but a state-bound control interface.
- Mandatory messages block invalid follow-up actions until acknowledged.
- Engine, course, search, radio, sonar and tanker state remain synchronised with the server.
Open and leave the bridge
Open the active expedition through Vessel Control. Without an active assignment the empty state is shown. Leave bridge closes only the interface; a running voyage, search or salvage operation is not stopped.
Control areas
| Area | Purpose |
| Wheel and course instrument | Select a search pattern in fixed detents. |
| Speed control and engine | Set speed and start or pause travel or searching. |
| Chart | Control vessel position, search radius, next waypoints and home course. |
| Radio | Coordinate crew, tanker and salvage command. |
| Echo sounder and sonar | Set sonar state and search depth. |
| Mission overview | Check the current assignment, settings and discovery chance. |
Why controls may be locked
Controls follow phase and mandatory action. While an arrival, search result, salvage operation or tanker confirmation is unresolved, contradictory actions remain disabled. This is part of workflow safety and not a browser error.
